What is Moss Agate?
A variety of chalcedony, which in itself is a type of quartz (a very large family of gems that includes gems such as amethyst and citrine). The name ‘moss agate’ comes from the fact that it often contains green, organic-like inclusions within the gem.
What colour ranges does Moss Agate have?
It usually has green spots that give it its distinctive look.
What is its symbology?
Like other agates, it’s believed to help with meditation and yoga due to its rich history within Indian and Hindu traditions.
To which Chakra is the moss agate associated?
Some believe it equally to be linked to the throat chakra (communication and our center of truth).
